At the core of my work is the desire to both reveal and conceal familial selves, housed/ sheltered in various bodies--architectural, corporal, or that meeting ground between the human and its abstraction--the doll.

I imagine that the dolls and stuffed toys that I create in clay and glass have a life of their own. Like a child who gathers her objects for play, or a collector who avidly amasses and fills her home with precious objects, I fill my studio with inanimate others whose distorted features reflect myself.
